LANSDOWNE - A NATURE UNEXPLORED

Lansdowne is a small and quaint hill-station which houses the command office of famous Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army.  Rifleman Gabbar Singh Rawat of Garhwal Rifles was the first Indian awarded Victoria Cross.  Lansdowne is also famous for variety of birds and their sounds, a paradise for bird watchers.  It is a perfect place for enjoying the natural beauty in calm and quiet surroundings of oak and blue pine jungle  devoid of pollution …... a unique experience for city dwellers.
